About This Course
- Course will cover most of Chapter P and Chapter 1 through 5 of Demana
& Waites
- Recurrent Courses Themes are
- Functions (linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic,
trigonometric) and their behavior (domain, range, zeros, asymptotes, symmetry,
local max and mins, "end" behavior)
- Understanding mathematics and being able to explain why
something is true
- Solving Problems
- algebraically and supporting the solution graphically and numerically
- graphically or numerically and confirming the solution algebraically
- graphically or numerically if there is no other way possible
- Stress will be on Algebraic, Numerical, Graphical and Verbal solutions.
