Of A Professional Nature

Professionally I am a librarian. I have been one for twenty-six years now. I studied history at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975. I followed this with a Master's in Library Science from Indiana University in 1978. After that it was into the job market. First stop was Kingsville, Texas and the Robert J. Kleberg Public Library. This was followed by a stint at the Ohio Historical Society (my home state) for two years. For the next nineteen years I worked for Miami-Dade Community College in Miami, Florida in three different capacities (how I got there is a long story). In 2000 I accepted a position at the Bailey/Howe Library at the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. I received a Master of Arts in History from the University of Vermont in May 2004. In November 2004 I became Director of Thomas Library at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, my current position. Below are links to my curriculum vitae and the professional organizations I am involved with (and some historical links that I am not involved with).
