All Tractors Must be ready to pull when your Name and Number are called or YOU DO NOT PULL (this will be enforced)

 

 

 

 

 

RULES FOR ANTIQUE & CLASSIC TRACTOR PULLS

ANTIQUES 1939 or OLDER

CLASSIC 1940 – 1959

 

This pull is open to anyone 12 years of age or older who can physically operate a tractor and abide by the following rules.  Those under 18 need parental and/or grandparent consent and must be present during pull.      The parent must sign a form at time of sign in.

 

THERE WILL BE A $8.00 ENTRY FEE ($5.00 PULL $3.00 BUILDING FUND)

   Drivers meeting the day of event, all drivers must attend.  Any decisions made during meeting takes precedence over written rules.  MUST be a member of the club.  If not you can sign up at weigh-in.

 Sign up 8:30am UNTIL 11:00am. Pull starts at 10:00am, if your class has started pulling or finished pulling that class is closed.

 

1.         Weight classes as follows: ANTIQUE 3500, 4000, 4500 CLASSIC  3500, 4000, 4500, 5000, 5500, 6000, 6500

2.         We would appreciate your exhibiting all four days, (have tractor there the night before the show starts and stay until 4:00pm the last day of the show.

3.         Tire size 15.5x38 max. No cut, shaved or altered tires.

4.         Engine RPM must be factory stock specifications with working governor.

5.         All tractors checked at scales BEFORE pull (draw bar and PTO measured) and all tractors weigh-in directly after pull (no deviations or delays).

6.         All contestants must use the factory hitch, and a stationary, safe draw bar, not to exceed a height of 18 inches and no closer than 18 inches from centerline of axle to the pulling point of hitch, (draw bar will be measured at check-in).

7.         All drivers must stay in seat, operate in safe manner, and maintain control at all times.

8.         All tractors will pull in lowest gear (1st) ONLY and no shifting once pull begins.

9.         Must have working PTO, (power take off will be measured by tach at check-in).            

10.     No log chains or any other form of weights lying on operator’s platform.

11.      Factory front-end weights or factory front wheel weights are permitted. Suitcase weights are permitted, but on front of tractor ONLY, not to exceed 18 inches from farthest most part on the front of the tractor. NO WEIGHTS ON SIDES OF TRACTOR FRAME, FRONT SUITCASE WEIGHTS MUST BE SECURED (bolted fast to tractor). Rear wheel weights are permitted, but not to exceed more than 12 inches side to side.

12.      No visible striping of any kind in all classes.  Must be stock in appearance.

13.      Boundaries are plainly marked and tractor must stay within limits while pulling.  No measurement will be taken if boundary is crossed by tractor tire.

14.      Pull ends when engine stalls, forward motion stops, the loss of liquids, parts or weights or when the driver is disqualified.

15.      Exhibition pullers will pull last in their class.

16.      Failure to comply with the rules shall result in immediate disqualification.

17.      No alcohol or nitrous fuels may be used in tractors.

18.      If on the first pull the sled fails to pass the 50-foot mark, one restart will be allowed.

19.      The tractor pull will be run in a manner that is “fair” to all those participating and drivers will participate in a “fair” manner.

20.      ONLY the driver of the tractor shall be on the tractor or equipment during the working of the track and tractor pull.

21.      A 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophy will be given.  Winner of each class will receive back his entry fee.

22.      Driver will be disqualified for excessive delaying of the pull.

23.      No substitution of driver after tractor is on the track. (Person who is signed in on the tractor must pull). No changes after sign up have closed.

24.      Judges decisions are final.

Why Lawn & Garden Tractor Pulling?

Lawn and garden tractor pulling was started to attract club members of all ages.  Providing a challenging and competitive activity that promotes fairness and honesty.

 

KIDS PULLS

LAWN & GARDEN TRACTOR RULES

 

1.           Tractors must be operated in a safe manner at all times.

2.           Driver must remain seated during pull and have a normal seat with 3” back or device minimum and should have fenders to safely protect driver from tires. A hand must remain on the steering wheel at all times or could result in disqualification.

3.           All weights must be safely secured to the tractor. Any excessive or obvious loss of weights or components may be cause for disqualification.

4.           No portion of any tractor may exceed 6 feet in width. No portion of any tractor (except Stock Altered) may exceed 8 feet forward of the center of the rear wheels including weights.

5.           Any tractor adjusting RPMs must have safety shields.

6.           All drivers should be clean and neatly attired. Tractors should be clean and painted.

7.           Any consumption of alcoholic beverages or drugs will not be tolerated and will result in disqualification.

8.           Any person who refuses to be inspected for eligibility by routine check will not participate.

9.           All drivers MUST have signed Consent or Driver Information Sheet on file.

10.       All drivers are required to sign a release form every year – sponsors will not be held responsible for accidents or injuries occurred on the grounds.

11.       All accumulation of points will follow tractor NOT driver. A sub-driver can be used.

12.       All tractors in all classes must weigh in. All tractors must weigh in after each pull.

13.       Kids 14 and under must wear a helmet – club can provide.

14.         Judges decision will be final on any point of controversy. Any disagreement will result in disqualification.

15.         Open to two wheel drive, rubber tired tractors, no dual wheels, chains or spikes.

16.         No unauthorized person or spectator allowed on the track.

17.         Tractors must be equipped with dead man throttle/kill switch.

18.         Exhaust must discharge vertically and be securely attached.

19.         No portion of tractor shall interfere with the sled hitch during pull.

20.         Any tractor touching boundary line during pull will be disqualified.

21.         If on the first pull the sled fails to pass the 50-foot mark, one restart will be allowed. Puller can drop back to last place resulting in him/her starting in last position. One attempt during a pull off.

22.         Delaying pulls will result in disqualification.

23.         Pulling position will be determined by numbering scheme or drawing – to be determined at each pull.

24.         Weight transfer sled will be used.

25.         Drawbar will be horizontal and stationary in all directions. With hitching device not more than ¾” in thickness and must have a 1 ½” hole for hook. Pulling point may not be more than ¾” from back edge of hitching device parallel to and not more than 13” above the ground.

26.         All tractors must have safety device to prevent turnovers. Device is to have wheels or skid plates. Wheels are to be at least 1” wide and 5” behind the rear tires and not more than 5” above the ground. This device must be able to support the weight of the tractor.
